The First Lady, Dr Mrs Ernestina Naadu Mills leaves Accra on Thursday, January 19, to Qatar to attend the Fifth International Shafallah Forum.
The Forum is on the theme: "Crisis, Conflict and Disability: Ensuring Equality" and will focus on the impact of natural disasters, conflict and humanitarian crises on persons with disabilities.
A statement issued from Office of the First Lady, and signed by Mr Peter Bamfo, Media Coordinator, said as part of the itinerary, she would meet her colleague First Ladies at a round table discussion to make a strong case for persons suffering discrimination as a result of their disability.
In addition, leading disability advocates, field experts and academics will participate in the discussion.
It said the First Lady was expected to return on Wednesday, January 25.
