Three people have been confirmed dead after cars they were travelling in were involved in an accident at Anomabu on the Cape Coast-Mankessim highway in the Central region.
The accident which occurred on Saturday afternoon involved three vehicles – a Range Rover with a registration number GR 4601 T, a VW Passat and a vehicle belonging to the Deputy Director of the Church of Pentecost.
Several other persons were also injured in the accident.
Joy FM’s Central Region correspondent Richard Kwadwo Nyarko reports that the cars were damaged “beyond repairs”.
The injured have been taken to hospital, he said.
The accident, he said, has created a huge vehicular traffic on the road, but the police have moved to the scene to maintain order and control situation there.
