A 9-member committee has been formed at Senya Bereku to institute a fund dubbed “Senya Bereku Accident Victims Support Fund” in support of the victims of the accident that occurred at Senya Bereku on the 27th December 2011.
As many as Twenty people perished while several others sustained severe injuries, when a truck ran into a crowd of jubilant youth during the Christmas festivities.
The Director of the Fund, Godfred Ernest Amoah disclosed to Adom News that the fund which is registered with the Registered General’s Department, will be launched this Friday.
Mr. Amoah said proceeds from the Fund will be used to support all those who were severely injured and are admitted at the hospitals.
He said the fund is a permanent one from which money will be raised to cater for victims as well as support families who lose relatives through accidents in the future.
He therefore made an appeal to various organizations, institutions and individuals to generously support the Fund to make its implementation a success.
