Asante Kotoko has confirmed talks with former captain Issah Ahmed on a possible return to the club.
Issah Ahmed has been released by Randers FC after spending four years with the Danish top flight side. The centre back has returned to the country to re-launch his career and it is possible he will join the porcupine warriors for the second half of the season.
Ahmed was one of three local Ghana based players that featured at the 2006 FIFA World Cup finals in Germany.
Spokesperson of Asante Kotoko, Listowel Burkason in an interview with JOY Sports stated that, the club is in talks with Issah Ahmed over a possible return.
“He has expressed some interest in playing for the team”. Said Listowell
“We are still talking with the player and if a reasonable agreement is reached then we will register him for the league”
