Ghana’s woes at the World Athletics championships continued on Saturday, when the women’s 4x4 100m relay team failed to advance to the finals.
The team anchored by lead sprinter Vida Anim, who is also the African 100m champion, finished in 6th place in the second heat of the day.
They ran a time of 43.76secs which is their best time of the season.
Their failure to make it to the finals concludes the story of a poor showing for Ghana at the games.
No Ghanaian athlete has made it to the medals zone of the six events that they participated in.
Meanwhile, Nigeria’s women 4x4 100m squad also failed to qualify for the finals.
The USA , Jamaica , Belgium and Russia will be among the nations competing for the gold medal later on Saturday.
