Ghana's Black Starlets failed to make it to the finals of the on-going FIFA Under-17 World Cup in South Korea after losing 2:1 to their Spanish counterparts. After a barren first half, the Spanish shot ahead in the 67th minute, however Sadick Adams equalised in the 80th minute to throw the game into extra time.Spain fetched the match winner in the second half of extra time, when Barcelona FC's striker Bojan redirected a calculated free kick taken just outside of the Starlets box through a forest of players with just six minutes of play left. The Starlets fought back gamefully, however on a day midfield kinpin Ishmael Yartey and top marksman Ransford Osei appeared anonymous, the team had to settle for a fight for the bronze.Bojan saw his great feat end in an anti-climax as he was shown the red card in the final minute for time wasting, as he threw his whole frame across the ball following a free kick awarded the Starlets.
