Berekum Chelsea head into the first round of CAF Champions League against Raja Casablanca, confident in their abilities against the experienced African campaigners.
The Ghanaian champions are at home at the Golden City Park on Sunday to the Moroccan giants but head coach Hans Van der Plyum says his team has nothing to lose against the three-time winners.
"Football is unpredictable and nothing is impossible. At the recent Africa Cup of Nations, who would have predicted Zambia to win the title? Let us start as underdogs, but if we play very well and work hard, that will determine how far we can go. Tactical discipline is very crucial at this stage," Van der Plyum said.
"Our strategy is to score more goals than the opponent. If you get a chance against a side like Raja and play first at home, you have to take your chances. If you get the opportunities to score more goals, you have to take them very well. These teams are always difficult to beat away too."
Chelsea's build up to the game saw them draw goalless at the same venue to Asante Kotoko in the league match on Wednesday but Van der Pluym says they will go all out and can surprise Raja.
"We can always surprise them. In football, the result is dependent on the commitment and determination of your players. When they (players) are pushed, then they will deliver. With the feeling and confidence, everything is achievable in life not only in football. Raja has an experienced team and play maturely. We have a young team and against a team like Raja, we have nothing to lose. We have to go all out."
