Asante Kotoko head coach Maxwell Konadu believes the presence of retired players taking up coaching roles in the premier league will add to the league’s quality and growth.Maxwell Konadu who played for Asante Kotoko in his playing days is encouraging more retired footballers to transfer knowledge acquired over the years to the younger generation by taking up the coaching roles in the premier league.“Is good my colleagues are coming back to the game to take coaching roles. I think we have learnt a lot out there and it will be unfair if we don’t give it back to the society,” he said in an interview on the Joy Sports Track. He, however, added that, not all good footballers can become good coaches, therefore require a lot of learning and training to practice.Maxwell Konadu joined Kotoko at the beginning of the 2011/12 Glo Premier League season after his maiden coaching stint at Wa All Stars for two seasons. He is also a member of the Black Meteors team that won bronze at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona.
