Asante Kotoko have announced the acquisition of former Aduana Stars skipper Daniel Darkwah on a three-year deal.
The left-back signed the contract on Tuesday after undergoing a successful medical.
Darkwah served Aduana Stars for seven seasons but refused to renew his contract after the end of the 2016/2017 season.
It was reported that he was to inching closer to a move to South African Maritzburg United, but the deal fell through after he failed to pass his medical.
The 29-year-old was a key figure for the Fire Boys as he scored two goals in 23 appearances in their Ghana Premier League title last triumph.
Given the three empty slots left on Asante Kotoko’s Confederations Cup squad, the experienced defender might just have a taste of the continental competition for a second time.
