London 2012: Black Bombers hopeful of qualification

The Ghana Amateur Boxing Association (GABA) is hoping the national team will earn at least four qualification spots for the summer Olympics as the team participates in a final qualifier in Azerbaijan on Thursday. Nine amateur boxers making up the Black Bombers team together with their trainers left Accra on Wednesday and will compete with many nations for places at the multi sport event. Over the last two months the Black Bombers have had training tours and competitions with their counterparts from Benin and Gabon. The bombers performed well in all these competitions are expected to replicate the form at the two-week qualifier to answer the roll call at the Olympics.
