New Edubiase have suspended four of its players for demanding their salaries before Thursday’s training session, GHANAsoccernet.com understands.
The players include star striker Stephen Manu, Iddrisu Yaya, Richard Agyei and goalkeeper Eric Nii Baah.
They were said to have demanded payment of about two-month outstanding salary arrears owed them before taking part in Thursday eveneing’s training session.
Officials present were said to be furious with the players’ conduct, hence their decision to sack them from the training grounds and subsequently ban them from going near the team because of their ‘bad influence’ on the entire group.
Management of the club have already confirmed owing salaries to players and said they were taking steps to address them but the four were said to have insisted on their stance at the training grounds.
Edubiase have had a highly fruitful campaign this term leading to their current sixth positioning in the Ghanaian topflight.
