A former Ghana Football Association chairman, Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, has hailed the appointment of Kwasi Appiah as coach of the Black Stars.
Kwesi Appiah was tasked to take permanent charge of the Black stars by the Football Association after three weeks of head hunting to replace Serbian trainer Goran Stevanovic who was dismissed following the Black Stars failure to win the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.
In an interview with JOY Sports, Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe noted that, Kwasi Appiah deserves the job after working as an assistant coach of the team since 2008.
“Kwesi Appiah has been with the Black Stars for quite some time, He has done a lot as an assistant coach and he deserves this new position,” Tamakloe told Joy Sports.
“To him (Appiah), he must be able to control these boys because the moment he is unable to do that, that will be the end of him. He must be able to take decisions and show competence in everything that he does,”.
Coach Kwasi Appiah's major assignment will be a 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Lesotho in June.
