About 100 senior golfers would parade at the Achimota Golf Course in Accra to compete for this year's J.S. Addo Seniors Golf Championship trophy at the Achimota Golf Course in Accra on Saturday, September 15.
Mr. Kwesi Oteng-Aboagye, General Manager of the Achimota Golf Club told GNA Sports in Accra on Thursday that the one-day 18-Hole Stable-ford competition, which is open to senior golfers, aged 55 years and above, is being sponsored by Ecobank Ghana Limited.
He said the event was aimed at honouring Mr. J.S. Addo, former Governor of the Bank of Ghana and the first Board Chairman of Ecobank Ghana Limited for his immense contribution to the development of Ecobank.
The General Manager named some of the golfers who would be seen in action as Mike Ezan, President of the Achimota Golf Club, Dan Dennis, David Arkutu and Charles Tabi.
The Ladies section would also witness stiff opposition from 2006 Lady Golfer of the year, Mona Captan, 'Lady Scientific' Florence Etwi-Barimah and Adelaide Owusu-Adjapong.
Mr. James Armah, Managing Director and other officials of Ecobank were at the occasion.
