The Muslim Coalition for Reformation has cautioned politicians against making inflammatory speeches that have the potential of sparking inter-religious conflict in Ghana ahead of the December polls. The Coalition noted with deep concern the utterances of some politicians which they said had the potential of sparking ethnic and religious conflicts.Spokesperson for the Muslim Coalition for Reformation, Anwar Sadat addressing the media in Accra condemned the NDC Parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso Central, William Affum Ani Adjei a.k.a Alajo Obama for his alleged comments against Muslims in the country. The MP aspirant Anwar Sadat noted said “in furtherance of their agenda they are offering scholarships and quotas to their children and institutions thereby pushing all of us towards a certain direction where they would take decisions for us by way of legislation.”He thus impressed upon the Christian Council of Ghana, the Ghana Bar Association, the Ghana Journalists Association, Parliament, Muslim Chiefs and other spirited Civil Society Organizations to openly condemn inflammatory speech irrespective of who makes them.Meanwhile, William Affum has since apologised for his comments.
