The spokesperson for the rival chief of Buipe, Seidu Fatawu has said that it does not welcome Vice President John Dramani Mahama’s neutrality stance on the protracted Buipe chieftaincy dispute.
John Mahama, Tuesday said he is completely innocent of the charges that he supports one of the factions of the chieftaincy disputes in Buipe in the Northern region.
Fatawu Seidu in an interview with Joy FM accused the Vice President of deliberately refusing to greet the chief and elders from Gonja in the 10th annual meeting of the Guans, last Saturday.
The spokesperson of John Mahama, John Jinapor maintained that the Vice president made his statement clear although some may not agree with him those people must not be given attention.
He added that accusation and counter accusation will not help particularly when they are unsubstantiated. He called on the people of Gonja to dialogue over the matter.
