The Ghanaian Community in Italy has congratulated the newly elected officers of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG).
A statement signed by Mr Terry Anangfio, Acting Secretary of the Ghanaian Community in Italy expressed the hope that the newly elected officers will scale the height of success and achievements in the days and years ahead.
Mr Anangfio said, "We are very much aware that the task is an enormous one and there are some serious economic challenges to be faced with.
"We however want to assure you that the Ghanaian residents in Italy, Napoli to be precise will be ready to support you in any kind in the months and years to come and we look forward to a closer and productive relationship with you".
The statement said the community had followed with keen interest the policies that the new officers had been espousing and it was clear that they would be able to support the association and work with the new executive as they moved to implement their policies.
It also called on members of SWAG to rally behind the new administration to ensure the realisation of their dreams.
The statement also called on the immediate past executives to lend their support and encouragement to the new administration to rebuild SWAG into a productive association to develop sports in the country.
