The Electoral Commission (EC) has decided to display the provisional biometric voters register for the 2012 election in August this year, a senior EC official has said.
This is to afford prospective voters the opportunity to check the personal details which they provided during the 40-day registration exercise.
The Director of Information Technology of the EC, Mr Herbert Akomea, told graphic.com.gh that the commission was currently putting finishing touches to the data and would publish the entire details "as soon as it has completed the compilation".
The compilation and consolidation include cleaning, removing double registration and correcting errors such as wrong polling station codes, among other things.
Such corrections, he said, would be completed before provisional register details, such as the total number of people registered, would be published.
Mr Akomea said those who found mistakes with their personal details would be given the opportunity to correct them.
