Ashanti Regional Minister, Kwaku Agyemang Mensah, has inaugurated a committee to investigate last Friday’s floodlight failure during a world Cup match between Ghana and Lesotho in Kumasi.The five-member body is chaired by the Regional BNI Director, Alexander Derry, and has one week to submit its report.Dr. Agyemang Mensah says the committee is mandated to establish any other issue related to the malfunctioning of the floodlight.They are also to propose possible measures to forestall any future occurrences.Mr. Derry promises the committee will work within time and come out with an efficient report.Other members of the committee are Regional Fire Service Commander, Paul Mensah, and Deputy Director for Regional Co-ordinating Council, Douglas Anorful.The rest include a representative of the Public Works Department, Poku Antoh and Electrical Engineering lecturer at the KNUST, Emmanuel Antoh.
