NPP flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo has met with German Chancellor, Angela Merkel in Berlin.
The meeting which was at the invitation of the German Chancellor was to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries.
Member of Parliament for Weija and former Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Shirley Ayorkor Botchway, who is on the delegation with Nana Addo told Joy News the NPP flagbearer is on a “fact finding mission” with the hope of solving the unemployment situation in the country, if he is elected president.
She said the NPP flagbearer is “interested in looking at several areas of Germany’s development with specific reference to German manufacturing sector; skills training for artisans and apprenticeship for the youth.
"He is looking at models that will create jobs for the youth in Ghana,” she stated.
She said Nana Addo will be visiting several model projects in Germany in order to replicate such developmental projects in Ghana if elected in December.
Some critics have wondered why an opposition leader would be invited for such a visit, but the Weija MP said the ruling party in Germany-Christian Democratic Union (CDU) already have good relations with the NPP and does not see anything strange with the visit.
