The Northern Regional Minister, Moses Mabengba has charged all District Assemblies in the region to ensure that they give special treatment to doctors posted there to in order to retain them.His call comes after the University for Development Studies passed the first 27 medical students three weeks ago.Mr. Mabengba said although there have been challenges with the health sector there, they can easily be dealt with if the doctors were highly motivated.He charged the district assemblies to ensure that they provide doctors posted to the region accommodation which he noted as one of the challenges that doctors face in the region.Mr. Mabengba revealed that the Tamale Teaching Hospital in collaboration with government is putting up a 60-unit bungalow that is about 85 per cent complete that will house some permanent workers and some doctors as well.
