The office of ex-president John Rawlings has served notice they will no longer entertain verbal attacks against the Rawlingses from persons within government and the ruling National Democratic Congress.
Addressing a press conference in Accra, today (21/06/12), aide to the Rawlingses Kofi Adams warned they will respond in like manner or worse if the Rawlingses are verbally attacked again.
His comments come days after the General Secretary of the NDC Johnson Asiedu Nketia had called for a positive defiance against the Rawlingses.
Adams stated emphatically that the office will not keep quiet over such comments from people "who don’t think before they talk".
"We cannot continue building this party while some people keep destroying it at the center" he said.
He said all the problems the NDC is grappling with appears to have something to do with the General Secretary, pointing to the cartoon sessions of newspapers which he said had Asiedu Nketia and his blocks featuring prominently.
He charged all party members who remain loyal to the values and principles of the NDC to remain resolute and speak their mind to discourage leaders from lying.
That, he said, will bring the party back to life.
