Two people have been confirmed dead and four seriously injured in a car accident on the Mampong-Atebubu road in the Ashanti Region, Saturday dawn.
Divisional Commander of Police for Ashanti Mampong Chief Superintendent Kwabena Antwi confirmed to Joy News.
He said the accident involved an articulated vehicle carrying fertilizer and a passenger vehicle.
It is not clear how the accident occurred.
Chief Superintendent Kwabena Antwi said the injured have been taken to the Mampong government Hospital.
Police have begun investigations into the accident.
