The National Youth Employment Programme, NYEP, is now known as the Ghana Youth Employment Development Agency, GYEDA.
The name change takes immediate effect following a Parliamentary approval which came into force yesterday.
The National Coordinator of the Programme, Abuga Pele, who announced this in Accra said, the new name formed part of measures to restructure the programme.
He said the new Agency will improve on the payment structure of beneficiaries, come out with an exit plan and will include more modules that will focus on entrepreneurship.
