The People's National Convention (PNC) will hold its National Delegates' Congress at the Catholic Social Centre in Bolgatanga from November 30 to December 2 during which its presidential candidate would be chosen.
A statement signed in Accra on Thursday by Mr. Gabriel Pwamang, PNC General Secretary, said the decision was taken by the National Executive Committee at a meeting in Accra on September 29 presided over by its chairman, Dr. Mike Mensa Bonsu.
The congress would also elect a leader and other national officers and consider proposals for constitutional amendments and motions on policy direction of the party, it said.
The statement said nominations would be from October 10-30 after which all nominees would be vetted before the elections.
It appealed to members of the party and sympathisers who would want to contribute to support the congress to pay into the People's National Convention account number 1051762 at High Street Branch of Barclays Bank in Accra.
The statement said the leader of the party, Dr Edward Mahama congratulated the regional executives for successfully organising constituency and regional congresses. Only the Greater Accra Region is yet to hold its congress.
