The Paramount Chief of the Yeji Traditional Area, Nana Yaw Kaburese V has urged the New Patriotic Party and especially its running mate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to stick to issues that matter most to Ghanaians, admonishing that this would endear the party to the people of Ghana in the upcoming December general elections. Nana Kaburese V made these comments when running mate to Nana Akufo-Addo, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia paid a courtesy call on him Thursday evening. Speaking to Dr. Bawumia and his team, Nana Kaburese V said, “the constitution urges us chiefs not to do politics, we have accepted that. Just like all other parties, the town, Yeji is for you NPP. Our prayer is that God should guide you and protect you and give you the wisdom to endear yourselves to the people of Ghana by selling to them, your message of hope, which would ensure that the good people of Ghana elect you come the elections. That is what we are all looking forward to. We would not be partisan but we are ready to work with all parties and governments that would work in the interest of our people” “Your presence at my palace this evening and the grace you came with truly demonstrates that you are part of the leadership of a great party. Bawumia, this town is yours. You are free to come here any day, any time to sell your message to the people. I welcome you to Yeji on behalf of all my subjects and people”, Nana Kaburese V added.
