Former President John Mahama Thursday, August 23, 2018 officially declared his intention to contest his party’s flagbearership.
Mr Mahama’s declaration brings to an end, months of speculation in the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and Ghana as a whole as to whether the former President would seek the leadership of the party one more time.
His aides were present at the NDC’s headquarters at Adabraka in Accra to present the letter of intent but Mr Mahama wasn’t there himself.
In the video below, John Mahama explains his decision for a comeback.
