The immediate past Secretary-General of the United Nations, Busumuru Kofi Annan, is scheduled to deliver the Golden Jubilee Inaugural Lecture on Thursday evening as part of Ghana’s 50th Anniversary celebrations. The lecture scheduled for the Accra International Conference Centre at 5:30pm is under the theme, ‘Championing Africa’s Renaissance; In pursuit of self-reliance and sustainable economic liberation in Africa’. President J.A. Kufuor will be the special Guest of Honour while the Chairman of the Council of State, Professor Adzei Bekoe will be in the chair.
