The Glo premier league match between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Liberty Professionals has been called off for security reasons.
The Public and Supporters Manager of the Porcupine Warriors, Listowell Bukarson disclosed this to Myjoyonline.com in an interview.
The match is slated at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, a day before the swearing-in of President John Mahama.
According to Bukarson, Kotoko received notice of the cancellation Saturday from national security.
National Security is convinced the game could have implication on Monday’s inauguration of President John Mahama.
The Accra Sports Stadium and the Independence Square, venue for the inauguration have only a street separating them.
The fixture will be honoured a week later.
