John Dramani Mahama, winner of the December 7 and 8 elections has been sworn in as the 4th President of the 4th Republic of Ghana.
John Mahama was sworn in by the Chief Justice, Her Ladyship Justice Georgina Wood at an impressive ceremony attended by several dignitaries including former Presidents Jerry Rawlings and John Kufuor and hundreds of Ghanaians.
Vice President, Paa Kwesi Amissah was also sworn into office by the Chief Justice at the event grounds at the Independence Square in Accra.
The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) including its Parliamentarians boycotted the inaugural ceremony.
They are challenging the election results at the Supreme Court.
