A group of concerned citizens of the Brong Ahafo Region is appealing to the President John Dramani Mahama, to consider the appointment of outgoing Brong Ahafo Regional Minister, Kwadwo Nyamekye Maafo as a cabinet Minister in his government.The group said Mr. Nyamekye Maafo’s performance as a Regional Minister for the past four years, is unquestionable and therefore deserves to be drafted into cabinet.“During his tenure of office, numerous developmental projects such as schools, libraries, markets, lorry parks, and road, Electricity, Water and Sanitation etc. were extended to all parts of the region.”“Also, Hon. Kwadwo Nyamekye Maafo was able to unite the chiefs and people in the region,” claimed the group in a release issued on Tuesday.It said the Regional Minister played key role in the electioneering campaigns leading to the NDC recording “massive votes in the region for both Presidential and Parliamentary in the 2012 General election, and could only rewarded with a top post.
