The Electoral Commission has responded to the petition filed by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Supreme Court.This is according to the Chairman of the Commission, Dr. Kwadwo Afari Djan.“We have submitted our response to the NPP's petition to court; it was done yesterday [Monday]. They have made an allegation and we have responded to the Supreme Court so we will leave the court to decide.”The NPP filed a petition at the Supreme Court challenging the results of the 2012 elections which the EC used to declare President John Dramani Mahama the winner of the presidential race.The EC, as law required, was to respond within 10 days and Dr. Afari Djan confirmed the Commission has done.
