Medeama SC forward Abdul Salam says he is highly motivated to score more goals for the club, describing his debut strike in the Ghana Premier League as a "special one."
Salam netted his first goal for the Mauve and Yellow during their matchday 30 victory over Vision FC at the TNA Stadium.
Speaking to the media ahead of Medeama’s crucial clash against Karela United, the forward expressed his excitement and determination to build on his breakthrough moment.
“My dream was to play for Medeama and score goals so the world would hear about me,” Salam said. “Getting that first goal—honestly, the feeling was special.”
He added, “We are training hard, and every player is ready. We’re fully prepared and aiming to take all three points from Karela. That first goal has really motivated me, and I’m looking forward to scoring more for the club.”
Despite starting only one league game this season, Salam hopes his goal-scoring performance against Vision FC earns him a spot in the starting lineup for the upcoming match.
Medeama currently sit fifth on the Ghana Premier League table with 50 points, six behind league leaders Bibiani Gold Stars.
