Milan have responded to Sepp Blatter by releasing a new statement urging “national and international authorities” to take action on racism.
The club has been in the headlines this week after Kevin-Prince Boateng walked off during a friendly with lower league side Pro Patria due to persistent racist abuse from the stands.
Today FIFA President Blatter was in Dubai and insisted Boateng was wrong to “run away” from the insults.
“AC Milan reaffirm its dissent towards all forms of racism, however they are manifested,” read a statement released this evening.
“We invite the national and international sporting authorities to adopt and apply every rule against racism.”
