Uganda Cranes striker Geoffrey Massa has not scored for the national team for over a year now.
The Baroka FC player has an opportunity to end his goal drought today when his team takes on Ghana in their 2017 Africa Cup of Nations Group D game in Port Gentil.
Massa is Uganda’s all-time top scorer with 14 goals. He however last scored for the Cranes during the World cup qualifiers against Togo in November last year.
"It is a worry that i haven't scored for my country almost a year now but don't forget it is actually one of my goals that brought the country to this tournament,"
“As a striker you can take a while without scoring but that shouldn’t change your mentality.”
“I am a strong player and have played for my country for the last 13 years. I always fight for the team and I will always fight for it in whichever way,” he asserted.
