The Association of Ghana Industries says the increase in utility tariffs would seriously affect the plans and finances of industries and business.
The Public Utilities Regulatory Commission Monday announced 89 per cent increase in electricity tariffs and 36 per cent for water.
The AGI says the increases are worrying. Its President Nana Owusu Afari tells Joy Business the adjustment was least anticipated by businesses.
He says the situation puts a lot of pressure on an industry that is already battling with high costs of credit.
Mr Owusu Afari says the Association will meet on the matter and subsequently announce its position.
He however doubts if the increases will bring about any improvement in service delivery.
