Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu is set to feature for the Black Meteors in their All African Games qualifier second leg against Nigeria's Dream Team 5.
This serves as a major booster to the national Olympic team who are desperate to qualify to appease Ghanaians following a recent poor run by the various national teams.
Ghana must overturn a first leg 1-3 deficit and Badu who is already established with the Black Stars, will be central to coach Kwasi Appiah's side.
The Udinese player told Asempa Sports that his club has cleared him to play in the match.
The Black Meteors will face the Nigerian Dream Team 5 on Sunday, July 10 at the Baba Yara stadium in Kumasi.
Ghana slumped to a 3-1 defeat in the first leg in Benin City after Nigeria came from behind to score three goals in the second half.
The loss to their rivals in the final round of qualifying for the Games has made the return clash at home a more daunting task with Ghana needing two unanswered goals to edge out Nigeria for the sole ticket from Zone III.
With about 10 members of the squad who played in the 1-3 loss in Benin State back to their bases in Europe for pre-season engagements, Coach Kwasi Appiah has just a handful of the players available on the first day of training in Kumasi.
Kwasi Appiah is making do with available hands and expects other members to join in later on in the week.
He is however confident that Ghana will beat Nigeria, praying that his charges keep their focus and get on with the job at hand.
