Black Stars midfielder, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu will on Friday, December 24, organize a football gala for the youth of Seikwa in the Brong Ahafo Region.
The one-day U-17 gala which will feature four teams made up of Ideas FC, Arsenal FC, Chelsea FC and Berlin FC, forms part of the Italy-based midfielder's support towards the development of football in the community.
Agyemang Badu, who plays for Udinese told GNA Sports that the event is to provide a platform for the youth to realize their football potentials to make use of their leisure time profitably.
He said his agent and scouts will be around to select players who excel at the one-day gala to benefit from a number of opportunities abroad.
All participating teams will receive footballs and cash plus football boots as prizes for the best player and the top scorer.
The event will be graced by the Omanhene of Seikwa Traditional Area, District Chief Executives and the Member of Parliament amongst others alongside the midfielder.
Agyemang Badu was a member of the Black Satellites that attained the historic feat of becoming the first African side to win the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Egypt in 2009 and also played an integral role as the Black Stars reached the finals of the Africa Cup of Nations in Angola last January.
