The 2012 Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo, has donated relief items to victims hit by severe flooding in some parts of the Eastern Region.Nana Addo who had earlier sympathised with the victims the day after the floods, explained that he found the need to also support them with some relief items because “these are very trying times for you and all of us must do what we can to bring immediate relief to you.”Nana Addo presented 150 pieces of mattress, 300 bags of soap, 300 bags of rice, 400 gallons of cooking oil, 400 packs of water and 500 pieces of cloth to victims in the Atiwa constituency.He visited displaced victims and bereaved families in areas such as Ankaase, Enyeresi, New Jejeti, Asumafo, Abomosu, Asamanma, Akwabowso, Akrofufu, Morso and Kwabeng.He was in the company of Hon. Kwesi Amoako-Atta, MP for Atiwa, Hon. Atta Akyea, MP for Abuakwa South, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, NPP General Secretary, Yaw Osafo-Maafo, Hackman Owusu Agyemang, together with regional executives of the party.
