A deputy Information Minister, Mr. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has said the flag bearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will forever remain a follower of President John Evans Atta Mills since he portrays himself as such.
He was responding to an earlier statement made by the NPP flagbearer calling on the president to “show the way as to his desire for the politics of issues and discussions and the rest of us will follow.”
In an interview with Joy News' Sammy Darko, the NPP flagbearer charged the president to sit up and not to look on whilst his officials behave irresponsibly and with his supporters engaging in violent activities.
Reacting to that comment on Radio Gold, the deputy Information Minister, Okudzeto Ablakwa condemned the statement, noting that Nana Addo’s statement was completely out of place and a sign of disrespect to the President.
Nana Addo does not worth being a president but a disciple, he said, adding that it is not suprising that he lacks moral authority to condemn the unprintable statement of the Assin North Member of Parliament, Kennedy Agyapong, since he has said worse things than that.
Mr. Okudzeto however cautioned Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to move away from politics of insult and give due respect to higher authorities and the president.
