This was disclosed by the Chairman of the Council, Architect David Leonard Yartey at a ceremony to induct newly registered Architects on Thursday.
According to Architect Yartey, the professional body must take up the task of championing the course of the advocacy process as well as ensure representation on the team which will see to the enforcement of the Act, when passed.
He added that the Board will be in a position to serve notices to owners of buildings to carry out maintenance and repair works, failure of which will attract sanctions.
Architect Yartey suggested that government privatizes the maintenance of public buildings as a way of ensuring compliance.
