Head Coach of AshantiGold SC, Zdravko Logurasic says he expects a more intense battle among clubs for the Premier League title next season.
Berekum Chelsea dominated the championship last season and with 10 matches to end the league, the destination of the league title was largely certain.
The Croatian trainer explains that he has been monitoring the preparations of the other clubs in pre-season and has observed a tremendous improvement in their games.
Speaking to JOY Sports Dennis Mirpuri, Coach Logurasic said, “It will be very hard because next season it will be much stronger than last season because Medeama is getting better, Chelsea is getting better, Kotoko is also getting better.”
He added that, “It means about five to six clubs will be targeting the first position. It will be very hard but it’s a long season, it’s eight months. The point is to better learn from our mistakes in friendly games and when the season starts we’ll put things right.”
AshantiGold secured a second place finish last season and is yet to win their first title since 1997.
