It was a day of celebration and football excellence as St. Anovers, Watreso Power FC, Nacoro SC, and Obuasi Lion Boys were officially crowned champions of the Obuasi East Colts League on Sunday during a colorful coronation ceremony.
In the Colts Premier League category, Obuasi Lion Boys claimed the U13 title with a strong season performance, while Nacoro SC made an impressive sweep by clinching both the U15 and U17 championships.
Meanwhile, in the Colts Division One League category, Watreso Power FC showed their strength by winning both the U13 and U15 divisions. St. Anovers capped off the celebrations by securing the U17 title in a hard-fought campaign.
The coronation event was graced by several key figures, including the First Vice Chairman of the National Juvenile Committee (NJC), JoeSalam Abubakar, and the NJC Secretary, Tophic Abdul Kadir.

Their presence underlined the significance of the occasion and the continued commitment of the GFA to grassroots football development.
Also in attendance was the CEO of Big Peiro, Peter Kpolly, the title sponsors of the Obuasi East District Colts League, who expressed pride in supporting youth football and pledged further backing for future tournaments.
He commended the participating teams for comporting themselves throughout the competition, stressing the importance of unity through sports.
At the crowing moment, Medals were presented to players across all categories, honouring their hard work, dedication, and talent throughout the season.
The Ashanti Regional Football Association was also represented at the ceremony by their accountant, who stood in on behalf of Regional Chairman Osei Tutu Agyemang, popularly known as Kotoro.
The 2025 edition of the Obuasi East Colts League has been hailed as a huge success, highlighting the growing strength of juvenile football in the district and offering a promising glimpse into the future of Ghanaian football.
