An eleven-year-old boy has declared his intention to mobilize relief items for children who have been affected by famine in Somalia.
Andrew Andansi Banah of Class Peter Memorial School at Bubuashie in Accra says he has been seeing the plight of the Somalian children on TV and on the internet and it has touched his heart.
He said he has been bothering his father about the matter but his dad does not take him seriously.
Andrew told Maame Akua on Asempa FM’s mid-morning show, Abrabo Today that he aims to gather some 500 bags of maize, 100 bags of beans, sugar and gari for the Somalian children.
He said a philanthropist has asked him to come for 33 bags of maize from Bawku so he is appealing for individuals to assist him with trucks to convey the maize.
