Asamoah Gyan will form a deadly strike force with England international Darren Bent according to Sunderland defender Titus Bramble who expects the duo to hit at least 30 goals between them.
Gyan joined Sunderland in a 13 million pound deal last week and is in line for his debut against Wigan Athletic this weekend when the premiership resumes.
Bramble has yet to see Gyan in training but saw enough during the 2010 world cup when Gyan led the line admirably for Ghana and is in no doubt Sunderland have made a great signing that will compliment the established goal scoring skills of Bent.
Bramble said: "Darren guarantees you goals, but he does like playing with someone up there and I think Gyan will be a good partner for him.
"I watched him (Gyan) at the World Cup and was extremely impressed with him then.
"We haven’t played with him in training yet because he went back to France to collect his things and then went away on international duty, but we are looking forward to seeing him in a Sunderland shirt.
"I reckon they are definitely going to get at least 30 goals a season between them and that is what you need if you are going to be successful."
