4G internet service provider Busy says it is looking to go beyond the provision of internet services to creating added value for its customers.
Busy commenced operations in Ghana in 2001 as Busy Internet, providing internet access from its famous cyber café on the Ring Road in Accra.
In January 2016 it rebranded as Busy and launched its 4G internet service.
“The whole idea was to bring Ghanaians quality internet services. In our own small way, we have done the necessary changes, introduced the latest technologies and high-quality services”, Managing Director of Busy Praveen Sadalage said looking back at his outfit’s one year journey so far.
Internet penetration is growing steadily in Ghana, from a rate of 25.5 percent in 2015 to 28.4 percent in 2016. The country is said to have about 8 million internet users out of a population of over 28 million. There is also growing competition in the 4G space.

“There’s been a significant change over the years. Customers expect high-quality service and they expect consistency and this has been the contribution we’ve made to our Ghanaian customers”, Mr. Sadalage remarked.
As the 4G internet service provider enters its second year, Mr. Sadalage reveals his outfit would be more customer-centered.
“We need to add content that is useful to our customers. The content could be by way of CRMs, accounting software, and other tools which are available online for especially small businesses”, Mr. Sadalage added.
Busy over the past year has invested in SME development. It currently sponsors the Joy Business Van on radio and TV which gives small businesses exposure.
It is currently working on expanding its services to other parts of the country.
