Chairman of the Roman Catholic Church’s Justice and Peace Council, Peter Cardinal Appiah Turkson is pushing for stronger transformational Catholic education that will eliminate poverty and underdevelopment in Ghana.
Cardinal Turkson hailed the church’s effort to improve the country’s education level.
However he said poverty and underdevelopment have persisted in the country because of a lack of ideas.
Peter Cardinal Appiah Turkson said this when he delivered a lecture to mark the 60th anniversary of the Bishop Herman College in the Volta Region.
Delivering a lecture themed: “A catholic education for a better Ghana,” Cardinal Turkson advised people benefiting from quality catholic education in the country to take their knowledge to the next level.
