A US based charity has called on Ghanaians in diasporas to increase support for health facilities in the country.
The Asafo, Fanti New Town and Amakom Incorporated believes such support could positively transform the country’s healthcare delivery.
The Charity organisation is made up of people from the suburbs of Kumasi now residing in the United States.
Treasurer of the group, Nana Kwaku Duah says it is a duty for well meaning Ghanaians both within and outside the country to make worthy donations to health facilities.
He spoke to Luv News when the group presented one hundred high density mattresses to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
Mr Duah is hopeful the donation will ease difficulties the hospital faces in accommodating patients.
Director of Nursing Services at KATH, Patience Yeboah Ampong commended the group for their support.
She urged more such benevolence from other groups and individuals.
