Newly appointed Black Stars coach Akwasi Appiah says he has a tough job of coaching the Black Stars after the Ghana Football Association surprisingly named him as Goran Stevanovic’s replacement last Monday.
Akwasi Appiah takes charge of the team permanently for the first time after serving as assistant in twice with the recent one stretching four years since 2008.
According to him, an all hands on deck approach will be key to his success.
“All i will seek of you is to give me the maximum support and I will also be there always to listen to you and do the best of my knowledge”. He said
“I would also want to appreciate the fact that the FA and the Executive Committee for giving me this position.”
Akwasi Appiah’s stints in charge of the team did not impress many as he drew goalless with Sudan in a Cup of Nations qualifier in Kumasi but ensured there was no repeat of a 5-0 thrashing when he led the team against Saudi Arabia.
The 53 year old also led the Olympic Team to win the All Africa Games football competition in Maputo last year.
