The Comfort Legacy Foundation (CLF), the charitable arm of Funchel.com, has extended its health and nutrition advocacy program to the Adaklu Waya community, reaffirming its commitment to supporting vulnerable groups, particularly mothers and children.
The initiative, held in collaboration with the Exercise Advocacy Group and the University of Health and Allied Sciences’ School of Sports and Exercise Medicine (SSEM), combined nutritional education, therapeutic exercise, and vocational training to empower mothers and healthcare workers.

Since 2018, CLF has actively engaged communities through annual donations, nutrition advocacy, and monthly support programs targeting malnourished children. This year’s outreach in Adaklu Waya introduced new strategies to reinforce critical health messages, making them more relatable and impactful for participants.
Leading the CLF team, Helena Nti, a Nutrition Scientist and Lecturer at UHAS, educated mothers on essential pre- and post-natal care. She stressed the importance of balanced diets, exclusive breastfeeding, appropriate complementary feeding, and timely family planning as vital pillars of maternal and child health.

Additionally, partners from the Exercise Advocacy Group and UHAS SSEM guided mothers and health workers through therapeutic exercises designed to relieve body pains and discomfort often associated with motherhood. These practical sessions provided participants with techniques to maintain their physical well-being.
To complement the health focus, CLF introduced a skills training workshop where mothers learned to produce soap and a nutrient-rich cereal. These initiatives were aimed at boosting household nutrition while creating income-generating opportunities for families.

The foundation expressed deep appreciation to its long-serving volunteers for their dedication and commitment over the years. These include Lesley Frema Addy, Faustina Mintah, Millicent, Mavis Osipi Mensah, Dorothy Anthonio Yayra, Isaberla Eyram Blasu, Asher Meryah Padi, Benedicta Enyaah Otchere, Asare Emmanuel, Sika Mathias, and Priscilla Addae.
CLF also acknowledged the invaluable contributions of healthcare workers who have consistently supported its programs across various communities.
Reiterating its mission, CLF called on individuals and organisations to partner through Funchel.com to help expand its outreach and transform more lives across the country.
