Contrary to earlier reports, incumbent Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram Constituency ET Mensah has retained his seat, albeit with a small margin.
The Works and Housing Minister polled 21,178 with the NPP candidate Sylvester Tetteh polling 17,122.
In 2008, he won with over 10,000 margin, polling 18,339 with the NPP contestant polling 6196.
The news comes as welcome relief to the Minister who had to intervene after early reports had put the NPP contender in the lead.
ET Mensah will be making his return to Parliament to serve another four year term.
He entered Parliament in 1996.
